These are the times that one must look back at the “self” and examine the being for what it is. Ultimately, we have decided that our being is not yet finished with production or growth, and that instead more progress is need to further our development in the direction that we seek for it to grow.

We are what we desire the most to be and, above all,  encourage this direction for those who wish to adapt it.

“Progress” is the notion of growth, which even we mistook for immediacy.

All eight of these categories hold their own explanations and criteria for determination. However, in the grand scheme they are to be viewed as criteria for genius. According to Gardner, “genius” is a predominate aptitude in a particular direction for learning and adaptation. It is possible to possess multiple intelligences and therefore you would then be considered a “dynamic learner” or a Compound Genius, as we shall refer to such people here at Live.Art.Die.

Genius as described by Webster is:

2: a strong leaning or inclination : penchant

(There were other definitions but it is rather difficult to figure out how Mirriam or Webster got to those conclusions.)

Genius according to Live.Art.Die is a full understanding of your inclinations for learning. Being exceptionally aware of how we learn makes us better learners, but using what we learn in dynamic ways affects not only our own environments but the environments around us and the people included.

For this reason we are thankful for the dimensions that Art encompasses and allows for us to experiment in as many areas as possible. Recognize yourself as genius, perfect your intelligence, and inspire those around you to do the same; true multiplicity.

Political strategists deduce that this equation is possibly the answer to our national problems. Has the national toaster gone on the fritz? Seems like it since new college graduates, next to those without degrees, are the second largest majority affected by the recession.

Here is some advice:

If you drop crumbs on the table, pick em up. Simple. Keeping yourself focused, keeps up morale. Even evil artist have some optimism.

No?

Society says you can’t make a living off of what you love. So instead make a living off of what you hate and eventually you will have enough money to buy what makes you happy. Or maybe it’s that if you work long enough doing something you hate, eventually you will earn enough money to pick up what you love to do as a hobby.

It’s like that old adage, do what you love or love what you do. But what’s the percentage of those who actually accomplish the “do what you love” part?

Skeptics bash those who would attempt it. However, despite the overwhelming majority that would disagree, there’s nothing wrong with dreaming big. Even though there is always room for disaster, insurance gives us peace of mind. Now try applying that philosophy to life. Ahh, feeling calmer already.

So perhaps the world isn’t run by killer robots mechanized to replicate human motor skills while simultaneously developing human emotions…

But that’s a good thing. Now you may be wondering what brings about this observation, and yes you have a right to assume it has something to do with the new Terminator movie. However, your observations would actually be wrong in assuming that this observation was wholly and completely created from this.

Standing in line for over twenty minutes in an Old Navy can bring about such thoughts, and this fact is where the thought was created. The true concept that I was imagining while standing in line was whether or not it is the machinery that replicates humanity or is it the human who has become mechanized?

Watching a sales associated ring up and untangle forty pairs of $1 dollar plastic flip-flops tends to stretch our realms of belief and disbelief. The unmoving faces of workers as they coordinate colors and sizes of plastic and rubber illicit such emotions. What’s worse: the creator or the created? The plastic shoe or the worker who has become just as artificial and menial?

As an artist, can we compare? Perhaps we are slaves to the craft…

Same thing happens to us; exactly how does one describe Live.Art.Die to the non-Live.Art.Dieist? Let’s first examine the philosophy more closely.

1: Live.Art.Dieism: The Word

Though totally and completely made-up, it does come dangerously close to the word Deism which honestly has nothing to do with our theories at all. We are, in fact, NOT Live.Art.Deist; but Live.Art.Dieist!!!

As in: the belief that one who creates is an artist and what they create is art regardless of public opinion. A Live.Art.Dieist firmly believes in their own creations as being “art” and being “created,” therefore the Dieist then becomes the “artist,” distinguishing themselves from other artists, or people who refer to themselves as such.

2. Politics:

Just because a Live.Art.Dieist firmly supports their own work, does not mean that they don’t support the work of others. Actually, the support of fellow Live.Art.Dieist is always appreciated and encouraged; however, most Live.Art.Dieist do find it difficult to support work that they do not like, and actually we really don’t see anything wrong with that.

A Live.Art.Dieist will always uphold their own integrity by not only supporting the work of other Live.Art.Dieist but by being an active member of the global art community. While many people consider themselves artists, unfortunately, not everyone is a Live.Art.Dieist.

3. Moral Story to this Lesson

Live. Art. Die is a philosophy to live your life by. How simple!

Turns out that now people can legally “will” their old email accounts to friends and relatives via online services. Whatever happened to signing your name on a piece of paper? I guess word of mouth just doesn’t count over the internet.

Either way, the idea definitely brought about the thought of what would happen to us after we die. “Us” of course meaning live.art.die, not that other “us” people tend to think about.

Here’s the philosophy on that question: between life and death there’s this big space of something to do in the middle. As long as this big gap is still open, we’ll survive, even if it’s just “us” and the digital termites. As long as those termites don’t eat their way through our wordpress, and the only way to prevent that is to keep reading our blog and supporting us, the real us.

 Pots, pans, dishes…. everything but the kitchen sink.

According to CNN.com, the world is coming to an end. Now, I ‘ve come to this conclusion not only from feature articles such as: “Killer mice endanger island albatrosses“; “Head banging parrot proves birds can dance”; and “Can Bristol Palin stop teens from having sex“. But also because anything the news says is true and therefore, the world must be on the brink of extinction if we are looking to the previously impregnated to give advice on abstinence.

Somehow, though, all of the nonsense going on in the world leads me to think about Live.Art.Die and our mission. One of the worst possible scenarios is that the world suddenly comes to an end, and this possibility made me think about what would happen to Live.Art.Die and the D.E.A.W.D.S.

If the world is coming to an end, the one thing I know we all can count on is wordpress still existing since the internet kind of doesn’t really exist in the first place.  That’s hopeful!

 There is a philosophy that our lives are documented by the memories that we create and through this process so we come to exist. If this is true than it can be said that an artist creates not only from their memories and ideas but also from their existance.

 It is hoped that through support, Live.Art.Die will exist not only as a memory but as concrete evidence of our existence.

 It is the job of the creative to inspire those who lack the ability to bring their dreams and ideas to the visual, mental, and articulate levels that others possess.
