Is the world run by killer remote control robots?

So perhaps the world isn’t run by killer robots mechanized to replicate human motor skills while simultaneously developing human emotions…
But that’s a good thing. Now you may be wondering what brings about this observation, and yes you have a right to assume it has something to do with the new Terminator movie. However, your observations would actually be wrong in assuming that this observation was wholly and completely created from this.
Standing in line for over twenty minutes in an Old Navy can bring about such thoughts, and this fact is where the thought was created. The true concept that I was imagining while standing in line was whether or not it is the machinery that replicates humanity or is it the human who has become mechanized?
Watching a sales associated ring up and untangle forty pairs of $1 dollar plastic flip-flops tends to stretch our realms of belief and disbelief. The unmoving faces of workers as they coordinate colors and sizes of plastic and rubber illicit such emotions. What’s worse: the creator or the created? The plastic shoe or the worker who has become just as artificial and menial?
As an artist, can we compare? Perhaps we are slaves to the craft…
